Tottenham came from behind twice to earn a draw with Norwich City at Carrow Road on Saturday.
Strikes from Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane cancelled out Mario Vrancic’s opener and a Serge Aurier own goal.
Here’s how every Spurs player rated on the day.
Paulo Gazzaniga, 5 – A little off-centre for the opener. Could do nothing about the own goal.
Serge Aurier, 4 – Unlucky with the own goal but generally wasn’t defensively assured and his crossing was poor.
Juan Foyth, 4 – Gave the ball away for Norwich’s first. Didn’t too much else wrong but was hooked at half-time.
Toby Alderweireld, 4 – Just a bit unsure of himself throughout. Noncommittal for the opener and played his part in the own goal.
Jan Vertonghen, 4 – Overran a few times on his side and taken off at the break.
Tanguy Ndombele, 7 – Grew into the game to become Tottenham’s most effective player in possession.
Giovani Lo Celso, 5 – Didn’t quite justify his place in the starting line-up with an inconsistent outing.
Christian Eriksen, 7 – His excellent free-kick was the turning point. Those corners really can’t be excused, though.
Ryan Sessegnon, 6 – Some decent if infrequent attacking moments from the teenager. Looked fine defensively at left-back.
Dele Alli, 5 – Scored a trademark offside goal but that was one of the only things that came off, despite his best efforts.
Harry Kane, 6 – Would have liked to be more involved. His penalty earned Spurs a point, ultimately.
Substitutes
Davinson Sanchez, 5 – Came on at half-time and was caught out a bit for Norwich’s second.
Lucas Moura, 5 – Always made himself available after his half-time introduction but was really inaccurate.
Erik Lamela, N/A – Like Lucas, he gave his teammates an option but wasn’t accurate enough.
[…] After a slow start, Ndombele grew into the game and ended up being one of Tottenham’s most effective players – we gave him a high score in our player ratings. […]
