Tottenham fans have taken to social media and reacted angrily to the performance of winger Lucas Moura in their Premier League defeat to Southampton on New Year’s Day.
The Brazilian has scored four goals in 11 appearances since the arrival of Jose Mourinho – including a thunderous strike against Wolves last month – but his general performances have been extremely disappointing of late and the Spurs faithful were left far from happy after his showing at St Mary’s.
Whilst Moura is extremely popular figure among the Spurs faithful after his heroic hat-trick against Ajax led Tottenham to their first ever Champions League final – that famous night in Amsterdam seems a distant memory right now after his awful recent form.
One person even compared the 27-year-old winger to former Spurs man Nacer Chadli, who scored 25 goals in 119 games for the north London outfit, but was often criticised by fans for his occasional lack of effort and desire.
