Tottenham will aim to bounce back from New Year Day’s disappointing Premier League defeat at Southampton when they travel to Middlesbrough in the FA Cup third round this weekend.

With a few injuries and the opportunity to rotate against a Championship side, Jose Mourinho has a number of decisions to make regarding his team selection.

Michel Vorm is likely to make his first appearance since returning to the club. He could be protected by a back four of Kyle Walker-Peters, Juan Foyth, Davinson Sanchez and Ryan Sessegnon, although Mourinho might throw Jan Vertonghen in to add some experience.

In midfield, Eric Dier should return alongside Harry Winks. Neither player started against Norwich City or Southampton.

Further forward, Harry Kane’s injury means Heung-Min Son is bound to play through the middle. He might be aided by an attacking midfield trio of Giovani Lo Celso, Erik Lamela and Lucas Moura.

Spurs fans will also be hoping to see the likes of Oliver Skipp and Troy Parrott feature from the bench.

Here’s our predicted XI to face Middlesbrough – what’s yours? Let us know in the comments section below.

  1. I was wondering when is the coach going to use the trio of,Lucas, Lo Celsius and Lamela with Son upfront for a change.

  2. Doont think this is a team it look like a joke, you cant put Sessegnon, Sachenz, foyth, Aurier, winks, Dier, Lamela, Then you expect to win.. Is a joke of the team..

  3. Why can’t anyone at Spurs see that Lo Celso is just another 1 footed over rated Argentina Clone of that clown Lamela. Also Foyth is the same they can never influence a game. Do not buy Lo Celso, send him back and sell the other two. Waste of time. Foyth is an accident waiting to happen. Lamela worst attacking midfield player we have ever signed.

  4. I would play in goal Vorm , sessegnon on the left in defence, central defence vertogenhen and Sanchez, right defence Peter’s, midfield would be Eric Dier, Skipp, Winks, up Front ,Parrott , Lucas, and Son , subs Celso, Lamela, Rose, Foyth,
