Liverpool pair Fabinho and Xherdan Shaqiri are both expected to return to full training this week and could feature against Tottenham on Saturday.
The Brazilian has been out of action since suffering an ankle injury against Napoli in the Champions League back in November, whilst Shaqiri has missed the Red’s last three games with a hamstring problem.
Despite the double boost, Joel Matip (knee), Dejan Lovren (hamstring), Naby Keita (groin) and possibly James Milner (hamstring) are all expected to miss Liverpool’s first ever trip to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, according to Goal.com.
As for Spurs, they’ll also likely to be without a host of key players – with Harry Kane and Moussa Sissoko both struggling with hamstring problems, although the extent of their respected injuries have not been confirmed, whilst record-signing Tanguy Ndombele, who limped out of the New Year’s Day defeat at Southampton, has a hip problem.
