Tottenham midfielder Tashan Oakley Boothe has reportedly rejected signing a new deal at the club, according to a report by Football Insider.

The 19-year-old has made just one senior appearance for Spurs in a Carabao Cup victory over Barnsley at Wembley back in 2017, replacing Dele Alli as a late substitute.

Oakley-Boothe, whose current contract expires in the summer of 2021, was named on been in various Premier League and Champions League matches under Mauricio Pochettino.

However, the closest the youngster has got to senior action in recent times has been for Tottenham’s U21s in the EFL Trophy this term – starting all three of their group stage matches against Ipswich, Gillingham and Colchester United.

The midfielder hasn’t been considered since the arrival of Jose Mourinho and therefore Oakley-Boothe has decided against extending his deal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Spurs remain hopeful that youngsters Troy Parrott and Japhet Tanganga will put pen to paper on their respected new deals, though.

  1. If he were more physically suited he could be a great central mid but with Ndombele Sissoko Skipp and Winks he is best served by a loan move next yr if he signs a 2 yr deal …otherwise add to the list of Onamah and Edwards as WC winners out the door (under Poch by the way)

  2. I do not believe JM is a youngster orientated manager, I think his priorities are “ready made” players. I think that is a shame, as you can spend big money on players that just may not suit our style or the PL, it happens many a time. Whereas a younger player can develop to the club style and its rigours. Unfortunately the biggest problem with that is managers do nit have that time in todays football to build a team / club. I doubt there will be another Ferguson…
