Tottenham’s meeting with Liverpool ended in disappointment as Jurgen Klopp’s side left north London with all three points thanks to Roberto Firmino’s winning goal.

But Jose Mourinho and the club’s supporters will be very happy with one man after the game. Japhet Tanganga made his debut at centre-back and didn’t look out of place at all against the best team in the world.

He was arguably at fault for the goal, but any player would struggle against Liverpool’s in-form forwards right now.

After the match, Tanganga spoke to Spurs TV and admitted he was “happy but disappointed” as his debut ended in defeat. Watch the full interview below.
