He might be just three appearances into his Tottenham career, but Japhet Tanganga already looks at home with the Spurs senior squad.
The 20-year-old defender was a surprise inclusion in Jose Mourinho’s starting XI against Liverpool on Saturday and was rewarded for his fine Premier League debut against the Reds with a second consecutive start in the FA Cup replay against Middlesbrough on Tuesday.
Tanganga started at right-back against the Championship outfit and was once more in impressive form, embarking on a number of superb runs down the right flank, one of which almost ended up him scoring his first Tottenham goal, whilst another nearly made an assist.
However, Heung Min Son was unable to applying the finishing touch to Tanganga’s cross late in the game as Spurs searched for their third of the evening.
