Today marks 12 years since Tottenham famously thrashed north London rivals Arsenal 5-1 in the Carling Cup semi-finals at White Hart Lane – and it’s certainly a day that no Spurs fan is likely to forget in a hurry.

Juande Ramos’ Tottenham were held to a 1-1 draw at the Emirates in the first leg, but quickly took care of the second leg thanks to first-half goals from Jermaine Jenas and an own goal by Gunners striker Nicklas Bendtner.

Former Spurs man Emmanuel Adebayor replied for Arsenal, but three more goals from Robbie Keane, Aaron Lennon and Steed Malbranque saw Ramos’ men reach Wembley, where they memorably beat Chelsea in the final to win their last major trophy.

Watch all the goals and key action in the short video below from one of the great modern day nights at White Hart Lane.
