Christian Eriksen’s Tottenham career is over after Inter Milan reached an agreement with Spurs of around £20m, according to reliable Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.
The Dane’s Tottenham future has been in serious doubt ever since he revealed he’d like a fresh challenge just days after the Champions League final defeat to Liverpool in June.
The 27-year-old has continued to play under Jose Mourinho despite the ongoing transfer saga and travelled to Southampton on Saturday for Spurs’ FA Cup 4th Round match, although Eriksen wasn’t included in the matchday squad.
He has been linked with a host of European giants over the previous seven months – including PSG, Real Madrid and Manchester United – but Inter, who’re currently second in Serie A, have won the race to sign the midfielder, who is expected to travel to the Italian capital at the beginning of this week and undergo a medical before completing the deal.
The report from Di Marzio suggests that Inter’s CEO Guiseppe Marotta met with Eriksen’s representatives in Milan over the previous few days to conclude the deal, which is expected to be announced before Friday’s deadline.
He has been totally disrespectful to the Spurs fans for his inept performances. Thank god we have finally got rid of the bad egg
