Jose Mourinho has held his Premier League press conference ahead of Tottenham’s encounter with Manchester City this weekend.
The Spurs boss joked by starting the press conference himself, asking three questions about the transfer window he expected from the journalists present.
He then spoke seriously about not expecting any deals to go through by the deadline. He also praised the business Tottenham have done in January, speaking highly of Steven Bergwijn and Gedson Fernandes.
Mourinho didn’t want to talk about rumours linking Spurs with a late move for Gareth Bale. Watch the clip of Mourinho joking and the entire press conference below.

Unbelievable that in a month cannot get a transfer over the line . Don’t k ow how many scouts we have but they have had from the summer to assess and shortlist players. Only reason I can see is Daniel Levy refusing to loosen purse strings. With the money from Ericsson departure and all of our outwards loan dealings had we not wasted money on the wrong Fernando’s and also pushed through a few more like Wanyama. Dier. Vertongen. Foyth. And possibly Lamela we would have had our pick of the lot and could have got a decent centre forward. The lure of Spurs means anyone from wolves down centre would jump at the chance not including man United as there worse off than us. Also due to the wages we could have got from any foreign league except Spain And Italy top 3.and Bargain basement Levy once again proves champions league football and its massive revenue is not as important as outside football concerns like American football.? Who’s interested this is England we want football we have rugby not a load of tarts in body armour. Until Levy realises we are a football club we will never have the compliment of best in world players we deserve. Why not Gareth Bale. Money. Anyone else. Money. Be better if levy and ultimately Joe Lewis sold up and we became what we were under Bill Nicholson. The best in England and Europe on more than one occasion
