Jose Mourinho has made one change to his starting XI from last Saturday’s FA Cup draw at Southampton – handing a Tottenham debut to January signing Steven Bergwijn.

The 22-year-old winger, who joined from PSV Eindhoven last week, replaces Gedson Fernandes in what looks like a 4-2-3-1 formation for the Portuguese, who has asked Giovani Lo Celso to sit next to Harry Winks in a two-man midfield, meaning Tanguy Ndombele is on the bench for the third consecutive game.

Japhet Tanganga continues at left-back, whilst Davinson Sanchez keeps his place alongside Toby Alderweireld at the heart of the Spurs defence – with Jan Vertonghen among the substitutes.

In attack, it looks as new boy Bergwijn will come in off the right, with Heung Min Son on the left-hand side and Dele Alli just behind Lucas Moura, who goes in search of his first goal since netting in the game at Middlesbrough at the beginning of last month.

Troy Parrott misses out on the matchday squad as Spurs continue to play without a recognised striker.

Starting XI: Lloris, Aurier, Alderweireld, Sanchez, Tanganga, Winks, Lo Celso, Son, Dele, Bergwijn, Lucas.

Subs: Gazzaniga, Vertonghen, Dier, Gedson, Ndombele, Sessegnon, Lamela.
