It feels like everybody is talking about just one moment from Tottenham’s victory over Manchester City on Sunday.
Not Steven Bergwijn’s brilliant debut goal, nor Hugo Lloris’ heroic spot-kick save.
Instead, people just can’t stop watching Jose Mourinho’s hilarious reaction to the Raheem Sterling penalty incident.
Sterling went down at the hands of Lloris after the initial penalty was saved, but VAR waved away City’s appeals for a second spot-kick.
And after laughing off the moment with assistant Joao Sacramento, Mourinho was reminded Sterling was already on a yellow card before appearing to dive in the box.
The Spurs boss suddenly rushed at the fourth official in a comical manner, an act that has drawn millions of views on social media. Watch below (via @FutbolBible on Twitter).
This is bloody brilliant. Mourinho was celebrating Lloris’ penalty save on Gundogan but then when he remembered Sterling had a yellow card and Mike Dean didn’t book him for the second time for the dive, he was absolutely furious.

Jose is entertaining to say the least, but it’s clear something is coming together now. From where we were when he came in to where we are now is night and day. There was nothing positive or encouraging around the team until he had that week off in early January, now we’re stating to look much more solid. Still a long way to go but what a change, suddenly there’s grounds for optimism.
You will get there. Mourinho looks calmer and more confident
. I think because he has full support of the club president. I think they both discuss next steps. Two smart persons.
