Dele Alli gave everyone a gentle reminder of his quality by producing a match-winning performance for Tottenham in their 3-2 FA Cup victory against Southampton on Wednesday.
The 23-year-old was initially a doubt for the game but showed no signs of rustiness as he assisted Lucas Moura’s goal before picking out Heung Min Son with a stunning pass which led to the South Korean’s late winner from the penalty spot as a second-half substitute.
However, it was a moment late in the game which summed up Alli. In the short video below you can see the midfielder nutmeg referee David Coote before flicking into the pass of Gedson Fernandes to set up another Tottenham attack.
