Ryan Sessegnon missed Tottenham’s 2-1 Premier League defeat at London rivals Chelsea on Saturday due to tightness in his hamstring.
The 19-year-old, who hasn’t appeared since the FA Cup victory over Southampton earlier this month, was initially named in the matchday squad for the trip to Stamford Bridge.

However, soon after the teams were announced, it was widely reported that Sessegnon would miss the game and be replaced on the substitutes bench by midfielder Oliver Skipp.
And now, the Evening Standard have confirmed in a report that the reason the England Under-21 winger pulled out was due to a tight hamstring before the game in the dressing room.
Sessegnon, who currently looks an alternative option for Jose Mourinho to possibly use in an attacking role moving forward, will be hoping to shake off his injury problem and return to the squad for Tottenham’s game against top-six rivals Wolves on Sunday.
Too many injuries due to Hamstring problems…. must be wrong training/ warm up / down exercises….?
