This time three years ago, Tottenham were sweeping teams aside for fun at the old White Hart Lane as they stormed up the table in what turned out to be their greatest Premier League season ever when they ended up finishing second.

And on this day in particular, Stoke City proved to be just another one of Spurs and Harry Kane’s victims as the England striker bagged a 23-minute hat-trick in a sensational first-half display against Mark Hughes’ men, who found themselves 4-0 down at the break.
