Tottenham fans have been reminiscing over the good times Victor Wanyama enjoyed during his three-and-half-year spell in north London after the midfielder joined MLS side Montreal Impact on Tuesday.
Wanyama was excellent during his first season at White Hart Lane in 2016/2017, but has been plagued with injuries over the last few campaigns and hasn’t played since coming off the bench as a late substitute during the 3-1 Champions League defeat at Bayern Munich in December.
From that thunderbolt at Anfield to that stunning header against Manchester United in the last ever game at White Hart Lane, it’s fair to say that the Kenyan has made plenty of good memories at Spurs and will be fondly remembered for his impressive first season and partnership with Mousa Dembele.
A bunch fans took to Twitter to express their feelings about Wanyama’s departure and despite some sketchy performances in his final appearances as a Tottenham player, they were more interested in commenting on his better times in a Lilywhite shirt.
Here are some of the best responses.

Could have been one of the best. So sad that injury slowed his career down. Your goal at Liverpool will never be forgotten. It is a sad day. Good luck Victor.
