Tottenham talisman Harry Kane is a possible Juventus target if Cristiano Ronaldo does not sign a new contract with the Serie A giants, according to reports in Italy.
Ronaldo’s current deal expires at the end of next season. The 34-year-old has been in terrific form this term, scoring 25 goals in 32 appearances across all competitions. His goals have fired Juventus to the top of Serie A, though – like many other leagues – the season has been postponed because of the ongoing coronavirus threat.
Despite his fine record this season, there are apparently doubts over whether Ronaldo will extend his contract with Juventus. And Italian outlet Tuttosport claims the Turin club are looking at potential replacements just in case they are unable to convince Ronaldo to stay.
One of those targets is said to be Kane. The England captain has been sidelined with a serious hamstring injury since New Year’s Day, but the postponement of the Premier League could allow him to play more matches than expected if the season ever gets back under way.
Tuttosport suggests Kane will be ‘expensive’, so a move may depend on whether the 26-year-old is willing to push for a transfer away from Spurs. The Londoners will obviously be hoping that isn’t the case.
