Tottenham defender Japhet Tanganga has described making his Premier League debut against Liverpool in January as nerve-wracking – but admitted that it was a relief to finally made his league debut for the club.
Despite making just one EFL Cup appearance earlier in the campaign against Colchester United, the centre-back was a surprise inclusion in Jose Mourinho’s starting line-up against the league leaders, although he’s gone on to become a regular in the Portuguese’s side since, featuring nine more times in all competitions.
