Tottenham have joined Manchester United in the race to sign Bournemouth attacking midfielder David Brooks, according to The Sun.
The 22-year-old, who came through the ranks at Sheffield United, moved to the Cherries in the summer of 2018 and caught the attention of many top sides after a host of impressive performances last season, in which he bagged seven goals and added five assists in 30 Premier League appearances.
Brooks would have been looking to kick on this term following on from notching his first goal for Wales in June, but suffered a serious ankle injury during a pre-season friendly against Brentford the next month, which has forced him to miss the whole of the campaign.
Despite his fitness concerns over the last 10 months, Brooks remains on Tottenham’s radar – with Jose Mourinho looking to add to his currently depleted squad, who’re currently sitting 8th in the standings prior to the pause of English football for the Coronavirus pandemic.
