On this day in 2014, Harry Kane marked his full Premier League by scoring his first ever goal in England’s topflight.

With Spurs eight points behind fourth-placed Arsenal with just six games remaining, Tim Sherwood named a 21-year-old Kane in the starting XI to face struggling Sunderland at White Hart Lane on the Monday Night Football in front of the Sky Sports cameras.

And it was an evening to remember for the frontman, who notched Tottenham’s second in a 5-1 victory over the Black Cats, sliding home Christian Eriksen’s left-wing cross.
