Tottenham are keen on signing Paris Saint-Germain right-back and Belgian international Thomas Meunier, but face competition from Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund according to 90 min.

The 28-year-old, who joined the French outfit from Club Brugge in 2016, is available on a free transfer at the end of the season – and the report suggesting that the defender isn’t expected to sign fresh terms with Thomas Tuchel’s men.

Meunier has been a regular in the PSG side this season, making 27 appearances as Les Parisiens go in search of their third consecutive Ligue One title and first ever European Cup after defeating Dortmund in the first knockout stage last month, although the Belgian missed the second leg victory through suspension.

With Serge Aurier continuing to struggle for consistency and Kyle Walker-Peters out on loan at Southampton at present and likely to leave at the end of the campaign, Jose Mourinho remains in the hunt for a new right-back – and Meunier could solve his long-term problems, especially with Spurs already having a large Belgium contingent in the squad, including the PSG man’s close friend Toby Alderweireld.

Meunier has already been capped 40 times for his country and would bring a wealth of experience, having made over 300 appearances at senior level, whilst winning an impressive 10 major honours with both Brugge and PSG.
