Paris Saint-Germain are expected to try and sign Tottenham defender Danny Rose in the summer transfer window, after failing to secure his services last July, according to Football Insider.

Rose, who is currently on loan at Newcastle United until the end of the season, looked set to leave Spurs last summer after he was left out of their pre-season tour of the Far East – the French outfit one of several clubs interested in his signature.

However, nothing materialised and the left-back remained in North London. And despite the signing of Ryan Sessegnon from Fulham, Rose continued to be the club’s first-choice left-back, starting 14 Premier League games prior to his move to St James’ Park on 30 January.

And now, the Football Insider are reporting that Rose isn’t expected to play for Tottenham again, especially after his alleged training-ground bust-up with Jose Mourinho after being axed from the squad for January’s goalless draw at Watford – with PSG among the favourites to bring his Spurs career to an end, and will be looking for a replacement for Layvin Kurzawa, whose current deal expires at the end of the campaign.
