Tottenham are leading the race to sign AFC Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser, according to the Daily Star.
The 26-year-old has been constantly linked away from the Vitality Stadium since his outstanding season for the Cherries in 2018-2019, in which he scored seven Premier League goals and provided 14 assists – bettered only by former Chelsea man Eden Hazard.
Fraser’s form has dropped dramatically this campaign as Bournemouth fight to avoid relegation. He’s scored just once and added only four assists in 28 league appearances, struggling to back up his impressive campaign from 12 months ago.
However, Fraser, who is out of contract at the end of the season, meaning he’ll be available on a free transfer, is still attracting the attention of some of England’s top clubs.
With Tottenham looking increasingly unlikely to be back in the Champions League next season, signing Fraser would be a shrewd piece of business by Mourinho – especially with clubs not expected to spend big this summer, amid the Coronavirus pandemic.
