Jose Mourinho wants to reunite with Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma – and has requested that Tottenham sign him, according to RMC Sport.
The 25-year-old, who has more than three years left on his Blues contract, has played 33 times for Frank Lampard’s men this season and has been a key part of a Chelsea side that sit 4th in the Premier League table.
However, RMC Sport are reporting that despite his importance this term, the Frenchman is unsure whether he’ll still be at Stamford Bridge next season.
And Mourinho, who initially signed Zouma during his first season back at Chelsea in January 2014, before the duo won the Premier League together the following season as he was named as the club’s Young Player of the Year, wants to work again with the defender.
Spurs are yet to contact the Blues about the possibility of a transfer, but are likely to be in the market for a Jan Vertonghen replacement this summer – with the Belgian set to leave Tottenham after eight season at the club.
