Lucas Moura is likely to be dropped from the Tottenham line-up against Manchester United with Jose Mourinho favouring other options up front, according to Football Insider.

The Brazilian was picked regularly before the Premier League’s suspension in the absence of injured trio Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Steven Bergwijn.

But with those three now fit again and available for next week’s crunch clash with Manchester United, Football Insider claims Lucas faces the chop.

If true, that means Jose Mourinho will almost certainly deploy a 4-3-3 formation, with Kane, Son and Bergwijn providing the goal threat in arguably Spurs’ most important game of the run-in. Dele Alli is suspended.

There is also a selection headache in midfield, with Giovani Lo Celso, Tanguy Ndombele, Harry Winks, Moussa Sissoko and Eric Dier all fighting for places – though Dier may be preferred at centre-back.

In any case, Mourinho will surely be delighted to have an almost fully available squad to choose from. Here’s hoping there are no fresh injuries between now and next Friday.
