Tottenham fans have breathed a huge sigh of relief after Giovani Lo Celso took to social media and provided an encouraging update on his recent injury which suggested that he’ll be fit for the return of the Premier League.
The Argentine midfielder, who made his loan switch from Real Betis permanent in January, had reportedly picked up a knock in training a few weeks ago and didn’t feature in the in-house training match at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium 11 days ago.
However, Lo Celso was pictured back at Hotspur Way last Monday, but didn’t appear to feature in Tottenham’s 2-1 friendly defeat to Norwich City on Friday.
Despite missing those two games, Lo Celso provided a telling update on his Instagram account on Monday night – which suggests that he could be in line to face Manchester United on Friday when Spurs make their long-awaited return to Premier League action.
His message on social media said: “Ready for football again.”
