In December 2017, Danny Rose was a £50m target for Manchester United, but Tottenham could sell the England defender for just £5m this summer, according to Football Insider.

The 29-year-old, who is currently on loan at Newcastle United for the rest of the season, has just one year remaining on his Spurs contract and looks to have played his last game for the club.

Rose made 18 appearances for Tottenham this season, but his game time rapidly decreased after the appointment of Jose Mourinho – featuring just six times in a little more than two months under the Portuguese.

And after an incident between the pair which saw the left-back axed from the squad to face Watford back in January, Rose didn’t play again, which led to him joining the Magpies on loan for the remainder of the season to enhance his chances of playing at EURO 2020.

Rose has been linked away from Spurs in each of the previous few windows and according to this report from Football Insider, the north London outfit will listen to offers for defender, who could leave for as little as £5m, a dramatic drop in price compared to when he was at the peak of his powers less than three years ago.
