Tottenham could be without midfield ace Giovani Lo Celso for their Premier League return against Manchester United on Friday, according to the Evening Standard

The Argentine, who has been one of Spurs’ most influential players since the turn of the year, reportedly picked up a knock during training in recent weeks – although nothing has been since confirmed by the club – and sat out both the in-house training game at the Tottenham and then the friendly against Norwich City seven days later.

Tottenham fans feared that Lo Celso could be facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines, but the 24-year-old turned those fears into optimism when he returned to training last week – before appearing in a number of photos at the beginning of this week at Hotspur Way.

However, the Standard are reporting that Jose Mourinho might not risk the midfielder against his former side, who hasn’t been involved in full training – especially with another crucial Premier League clash to come against West Ham just four days later.
