The Premier League is finally back and Tottenham kick-start the first full round of fixtures when they host Jose Mourinho’s former side Manchester United at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on the Friday Night Football.
The Spurs boss has near enough a full squad available, but will definitely be without Japhet Tanganga, who has been ruled out with a suspected back problem.
Meanwhile, the Portuguese revealed that Giovani Lo Celso is doubtful and will be tested tomorrow morning.
We think that Mourinho will start with a back-four of Serge Aurier, Davinson Sanchez, Toby Alderweireld and Ben Davies – with Harry Winks sitting just in front.
Moving forward, the former United boss revealed that Moussa Sissoko will make his first start since New Year’s Day, in what could be a three-man midfield alongside Winks and record-signing Tanguy Ndombele.
In attack, Mourinho also confirmed that returning duo Heung Min Son and Harry Kane will also be in the starting XI – with Steven Bergwijn likely to get the nod over both Lucas Moura and Erik Lamela, who’re should to be named among a nine-man Tottenham bench.
Predicted XI: Lloris, Aurier, Alderweireld, Sanchez, Davies, Sissoko, Winks, Ndombele, Son, Kane, Bergwijn.
