Jose Mourinho has reiterated that Harry Kane is not for sale – and will not be leaving Tottenham under any circumstances.

Kane has been the subject of interest from Manchester United in recent months – especially after the England captain revealed on an Instagram live in lockdown that he could leave Spurs one day if they don’t match his ambitions and and continue giving him opportunities to win major trophies.

The 26-year-old, who has four years left his current deal, is sitting third on the club’s all-time top goalscorer list with 181 goals and has made his love for the club public on numerous occassions.

But with Kane turning 27 next month and Jose Mourinho’s side currently 8th in the Premier League and unlikely to be playing in the Champions League next season, his future at Tottenham has unsurprisingly become in doubt.

However, Mourinho revealed what the club must do in order to fend off any Kane interest.

“The club just need to say, ‘Harry Kane is ours, Harry Kane has a long term contract, Harry Kane is not for sale, Harry Kane is Tottenham, Harry Kane is staying,'” the Spurs boss told Football.London.

“What do you have to do? You have to do nothing. We want the same.

“We want the same. He doesn’t want anything different than Mr Levy wants, Mr Lewis wants, and I want. He doesn’t want anything different than us.”

  1. Spurs dont get in the champions league which is very unlikely and there ambitions dont meet Harry’s which is doubtful then Kane will go for big bucks in the summer and Mr Levy will be a very happy bunny…Kane & Son to leave for a combined value circa £300M which will be the start of a mini demise unfortunately.
