Tottenham have had a mixed return to Premier League action, but they go into the final game of the season against Crystal Palace aiming for a fourth straight win.
Indeed, the Londoners have actually only lost once since the campaign resumed, and that has been in no small part down to an improved defensive resilience – bar the woeful performance at Sheffield United.
Despite the back four showing signs of progress, however, they have been somewhat reliant on the final line of defence: Hugo Lloris.
The Spurs captain has been superb since the restart, making none of the errors that have started to creep into his game over the last couple of years and producing a string of superb saves.
Lloris was particularly impressive in Sunday’s convincing 3-0 victory over Leicester City, pulling off three superb stops to prevent the Foxes from getting back into the game.
On Monday, Tottenham’s official Twitter account posted a tribute to the Frenchman, and Spurs fans responded by heaping praise on a player who perhaps doesn’t receive the credit he deserves.
