Eric Dier said he wants to become one of the best players in his position in the Premier League – and has revealed that Jose Mourinho was a key factor in him putting pen to paper on a long-term contract.
Earlier this morning, Spurs announced that Dier had signed a new four-year deal, extending stay in north London until the summer of 2024.
Dier, who is available for selection after serving a four-match ban for the incident against Norwich City in the FA Cup, spoke to Spurs TV – and you can see the full interview below.

Great stuff, a natural born centre half, not a midfielder. He’s big, strong, could head the ball and play on the ground. Loyal to Spurs. I’m very pleased that he’s extended his contract with us.
