Tottenham are interested in signing Barcelona duo Ivan Rakitic and Philippe Coutinho, as well as Real Madrid outcast James Rodriguez, according to the Daily Mail.
The report claims Bayern Munich, where Coutinho is currently on loan, have been offered the chance to take the Brazilian for another year. But the Champions League finalists are apparently set to turn down that proposal, leaving the door open for three suitors: Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea.
As for James, who has fallen out of favour under Zinedine Zidane at Real Madrid, Tottenham are said to face competition from a host of Premier League clubs for his signature, including Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton, Manchester United, Liverpool, Newcastle and Wolves.
Then there is Rakitic. The Croatian’s contract expires next summer, and the Mail says Barcelona could be fielding offers from the likes of Spurs, Arsenal and Sevilla.
Despite Tottenham’s apparent interest in all three players, it’s obviously very unlikely they will end up pursuing all three. The transfer fees alone would be huge, let alone the cost of wages.

Proven quality, buy, buy, buy. Watch the game this season when we played against Coutinho, he destroyed us. Left-right foot bombs from him. A class act who can hit the target with venom from 25 yards both pegs.

We are not going to sign all three of them but if I had the choice I would go for Coutinho
I really like coutinho but unfortunately hes best cutting in from that left hand side where Son and Bergwijn are also best cutting in from. The area where we really need a top player is that right forward position where Lucas has a fairly low controburion. James used to fill that role at times but I would rather have a visionary creator like Matheus Pereira, or a fast left footed attacker like zaniolo or bale.

I think stupid Levy should concentrate on signing a left back and right back as well.. And stop prizing shit.. Deals needs to be done quickly so as they can blend into the team before the league begins
To be honest, what we need the most is a 1) a striker Pukki £80k per week, and 2) another striker Sturridge 50K (Hart money for the third choice!) . Maybe a tall target man or get Foyth to play up there, very talented lad is Juan and he could do a Llorente job on the side i think.
Strikers first then Coutinho cos he’ s class!
