Gareth Bale’s sensational return to Tottenham is on the verge of being completed, according to Football.London’s Alasdair Gold.

Since leaving for Real Madrid in 2013, the 31-year-old has continuously linked with a move back to north London, but the chances of seeing Bale in a Spurs shirt once again have always looked slim.

However, with his relationship with Zinedine Zidane at breaking point having featured just 20 times for the La Liga champions last season, the Welshman’s days in the Spanish capital have always looked numbered, despite winning four Champions League crowns, two La Liga titles and a host of other domestic honours during his seven seasons at the Bernabeu.

According to Sky Sports, Bale was at Madrid’s training ground this morning and Football.London believe that the winger has undergone part of his medical in Spain and is expected to complete his move back to Tottenham on Friday.

Gold’s report suggests that Spurs have agreed to pay 40% of Bale’s £600,000 per-week wages, whilst Dan Kilpatrick reckons that the deal in total will cost Tottenham around £15m.

  1. This “buffoon” was right again. 15 mill for a year. Gotta laugh it’s all you can do. All bowl down europe’s biggest club shop™ to buy the shirt…..only 6 in at a time though. Wouldn’t be surprised if it doesn’t get done even now. No midfield, no striker but thisll do the trick. Bale aid.

    • This Rigaliun too, how is this window being hailed as a success? This kid spent most of his time in the spanish 2nd division. Managed 14 games for Madrid, decent season at Sevilla. Hojberg, Doherty, this chap, these are average players, not what the spin had everyone believe the space mall would be bringing. Knock down the Lane, get James, Dybala and the like in, (still not worth it for me) but still…this certainly ain’t.

    • No once again you covered all your bases so you could appear right. You actually said first that Levy would not pay the money then said it would be a year for an injury prone player. As usual you spin it so either outcome makes you look right, you’re more Levy than Levy. Same tired sayings you’ve bored everyone with on other forums, you are the Danny Rose of forums soon there’ll be nowhere left for you to go….

  2. Even at £15 million that is still £500,000 a game if he manages 20 in a season which is most unlikely
Let us Spurs fans remember the remarkable winger running past defenders with lightning speed.
Not the player who is much slower and older now and will not live up to the hype
