It’s easy to forget that Tottenham have an actual game of football to play this weekend…

The news of Gareth Bale’s return to the club has taken up all of the column inches in recent days, but Jose Mourinho’s focus will be solely on Sunday’s trip to Southampton.

And the Spurs boss has a number of decisions to make regarding his team selection after back-to-back disappointing performances against Everton and Lokomotiv Plovdiv.

We think Mourinho will make two changes to the side that lost to Everton, with Harry Winks and Dele Alli dropping out.

Winks and Alli both missed Thursday’s narrow victory in Bulgaria, and other players may have done enough to keep their places over the English duo.

Most notably, Tanguy Ndombele could make his first start after making the difference from the bench in midweek, scoring the goal that sent Tottenham through to the next round of Europa League qualifying.

The Frenchman should start in midfield with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Giovani Lo Celso, who will play as the most advanced midfielder instead of Alli.

Here’s our predicted XI to face Southampton – what’s yours? Let us know in the comments section below.
