PSG are stepping up their pursuit of Dele Alli and reckon that the Tottenham midfielder wants to move to the French capital, according to the Telegraph.

The 24-year-old still has four years remaining on his Spurs contract, but has fallen out of favour under Jose Mourinho in recent weeks and was left out of the squad for the victory over Lokomotiv Plovdiv in the Europe League and then Sunday’s 5-2 win over Southampton.

Alli started the opening day defeat to Everton, but was hooked off at half-time and since being axed against Plovdiv, there have been serious doubts over his future.

The ex-MK Dons star has also been overlooked by England in previous squads and will need regular game-time ahead of next summer’s European Championship if he wants to force his way back into Gareth Southgate’s plans.

The signing of Gareth Bale has seen Alli pushed even further down the pecking order, making a Tottenham exit even likelier.

Last week, the Telegraph reported that he could be involved in a swap deal to bring the Welshman back to Spurs, although that move never materialised. And now they believe that a loan deal which would see the midfielder spend the season at the Parc des Princes, could be on the cards before 5 October’s deadline.

The report also suggests that Tottenham and PSG have a good relationship after the recent transfers of both Serge Aurier and Lucas Moura.

  1. When Jose came in I was firmly in the “give him a chance” camp.

Now when its obvious hes doing lasting damage to the club, and reverting back to his same old bullshit, I’m firmly in the “Jose Out” camp.

If you cant bring a playmaker in and bring Dele and Harry back to their best, then you are done in football. The last time Jose done anything significant in football was 8 years ago and he had Ronaldo, Benzema, Higuain and Di Maria and Ozil for advanced playmakers.

Since then hes reverted to midfield playmakers and then no playmakers at man u, and hes alienated 2 of the midfield playmakers at spurs.

I want him out ASAP. Cant believe our fans will cheer Dele out the door, just because Jose said hes lazy in an Amazon doc

If Dele was lazy he wouldnt have ousted every other midfielder out of contention to start under Poch as soon as he arrived.

  2. A loan for Alli is best for club and player, we all know we have too many midfielders so getting some funds in and giving him the chance to build his experiences get out of his comfort zone and improve as a player(we hope).

Jose is doing what is best for the squad. I would love to sell Lamela and Sissoko this window and utilise White and Winks to be backups to Ndombele and LoCelso and Højbjerg.. but Jose likes the higher consistent work rate of Lamela and Sissoko, so they are unlikely to be sold. Remember Gedson Fernandez Is yet to feature at all this season; neither have Cirkin Tanganga Foyth nor AURIER or Sessengnon. Rotation would have likely happened with the EFL Cup but with that postponed and extra rest dont expect many changes. Jose will win silverware this year based on his track record, the strength and balance of the squad, the fact that this is the 60th anniversary of our last league win, the return of Bale….the stars have aligned COYS!
