Sergio Regulion will make his Tottenham debut in their Carabao Cup fourth-round clash against London rivals Chelsea on Tuesday evening.

The 23-year-old left-back was an unused substitute against Newcastle on Sunday, but has been named in the starting line-up against the Blues – as Jose Mourinho makes nine changes from the weekend’s disappointing draw.

Harry Winks and Giovani Lo Celso have been rested, according to The Athletic’s Jack Pitt-Brooke, whilst the Telegraph revealed earlier that Dele Alli has been left out of the squad.

Japhet Tanganga makes his first appearance of the season in a back-three, alongside Toby Alderweireld and Eric Dier, whilst Serge Aurier starts at right wing-back.

Tanguy Ndombele is handed his third start of the campaign, partnering his international colleague Moussa Sissoko, who will feature for the first time since the Europa League qualifier against Lokomotiv Plovdiv. There’s also a rare appearance for Gedson Fernandes.

In attack, Erik Lamela and Steven Bergwijn are up front for Spurs, who have the likes of Lucas Moura and Harry Kane on a strong bench.

  2. Be lucky if this doesn’t become very embarrassing. ENIC all the coat and no knickers.. ..the epitome of it.
This difference in quality is astounding. The diffence between on the pitch investment and off the pitch pointless wasting.
