Lucas Moura has revealed he has been helping new Tottenham signing Carlos Vinicius to settle at the club.

Vinicius made his debut against LASK in the Europa League on Thursday night, providing two assists in the comfortable 3-0 victory – including one for his countryman Lucas.

The new boy held up the ball brilliantly and produced a perfectly weighted pass that allowed Lucas to finish easily from close range.

And it turns out the Brazilians have a good relationship off the pitch as well as on it.

Speaking to the media after the game, Lucas spoke of the help he has given to Vinicius, including giving him a place to stay.

“We are very close. He stayed at my home for the first few days and now he found a house,” Lucas said (via Charlie Eccleshare).

“I help him. He’s a very good guy, very humble and very happy to have him here.”

It’s good to know Vinicius has a fellow Brazilian at the club to help him during what could be a lengthy settling-in period.

Watching the match last night, it was clear the pair have a connection – they were delighted after combining for the opening goal and were deep in conversation about something after the final whistle.

Indeed, their close relationship can only be a good thing for the squad going forwards.
