Tottenham’s first batch of international players were involved in tonight’s friendlies.

Sergio Regulion won his fourth cap – playing just over an hour as Sergio Canales’ first-half goal was cancelled out by Donny van de Beek’s second-half strike as Spain drew 1-1 with Holland in Amsterdam.

Meanwhile, Moussa Sissoko played 90 minutes as France slipped to a 2-0 defeat to Finland, where Hugo Lloris was rested, although presumably ahead of Les Bleus’ Nations League trip to Portugal on Saturday.

Toby Alderweireld also wasn’t used in Belgium’s 2-1 friendly win over Switzerland, but should feature in the Red Devils’ Nations League game against England on Sunday.

Matt Doherty, Eric Dier, Harry Winks and Harry Kane will all be hoping to feature in England’s game against the Republic of Ireland at Wembley on Thursday, whilst Joe Rodon, Ben Davies and Gareth Bale are in the Wales squad for their game against the USA.

Elsewhere, Serge Aurier, Davinson Sanchez, Giovani Lo Celso and Heung Min Son are expected to be involved for their respective countries in the coming days.

  1. It’s great to see Gareth Bale back in the Wales squad, it all bodes well for his return to match fitness!
Looking forward to seeing Hugo’s performance for Les Bleus

  2. What a shame to see so many league players put at risk to play in the Jingoism Games. A risk for the teams that pay their way and for the players who risk form, deterioration, injury and career limiting debilitation by p0laying for “National teams” Surely the country FA’s could find a different way to raise funds without decimating their club teams.

    • They pay the clubs n players when they go on internationals so win win let Gaza get his fitness up by playing instead of non competitive football back at spurs where he won’t get any fitter than he is more games no matter who against will help him more than running shuttles r u stupid or don’t u know how body works
