Harry Winks playing a starring role for England in their 3-0 victory over Republic of Ireland at Wembley on Wednesday evening.
Winks played 90 minutes in the heart of the Three Lions midfield and claimed an assist for Harry Maguire’s opener, whilst Eric Dier and Harry Kane were unused substitutes ahead of Sunday’s must-win Nations League game in Belgium.
Meanwhile, Matt Doherty also started at Wembley and played the full 90 minutes as further goals from Jadon Sancho and Dominic Calvert-Lewin earned Gareth Southgate’s men a comfortable win.
In the other home nations friendly, Joe Rodon played the final 21 minutes of Wales’ goalless draw with USA, where Ben Davies was an unused substitute.
Gareth Bale was left out of the squad entirely, although he was pictured at the Liberty Stadium supporting his Tottenham and Wales teammates.
Gareth Bale is definitely watching the Masters while Wales vs USA goes on.

Spurs’ seventh and final player in action was Serge Aurier, who captained Ivory Coast to a 2-1 victory in their African Cup of Nations qualifier against Madagascar – with West Ham’s Sebastian Haller and former Arsenal man Gervinho on the scoresheet.
