It was another action-packed day for Tottenham’s internationals on Wednesday.
Once again, Eric Dier, Harry Winks and Harry Kane all featured as England rounded off their Nations League group with a comfortable victory over Iceland at Wembley thanks to goals from Declan Rice, Mason Mount and Phil Foden (2) – with Kane claiming an assist for Mount’s.
Meanwhile, Joe Rodon and Gareth Bale played for Wales as they ensured promotion to Nations League Group A by beating Finland in Cardiff – with Bale’s assist creating
the opener, where Ben Davies wasn’t involved due to suspension.
Elsewhere, both Toby Alderweireld and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg both played 90 minutes as Belgium came out on top 4-2 in a six-goal thriller against Denmark to book their place at next October’s Nations League finals.
Finally, on-loan Millwall striker Troy Parrott was back in the senior fold for the Republic of Ireland – coming on as an 85th-minute substitute in their goalless draw with Bulgaria.
