Gareth Bale has scored a penalty in stoppage-time at the end of a poor first-half from Jose Mourinho’s side against LASK to spare their blushes.
Despite the Spurs boss naming a strong side, they failed to register a single attempt on target before the Welshman stroked home from 12-yards.
Less than five minutes after falling behind to Peter Michorl’s long-range strike, Lucas Moura teed up Tanguy Ndombele, whose goal-bound strike was handballed by a LASK defender, leaving Bale to step up and do the rest for his second goal since returning to Tottenham.
