Tottenham are in talks to sign Inter Milan forward Ivan Perisic on loan, according to reports in Italy.

Perisic, who has been linked with Spurs in the past, spent last season on loan at Bayern Munich and helped the German giants win the Champions League, scoring in the semi-final against Barcelona.

The Croatian returned to Inter in the summer but has not been a regular starter in Antonio Conte’s side, scoring just twice across all competitions so far this season.

And it sounds like he could be on the move this month.

Italian outlet Foot Mercato claims ‘talks are underway’ between Spurs and Inter over a loan deal for Perisic.

Tottenham are apparently in no rush and could wait until the end of the winter transfer window to complete a deal, the exact details of which (wages etc.) are currently unclear.

Perisic turns 32 at the beginning of February, so it make sense that Spurs would prefer a loan move to a permanent deal – the 96-time Croatia international won’t have much of a re-sale vaue.

His contract expires at the end of the season, though, so Tottenham could try to sign him on a free transfer in the summer after an initial loan.

Spurs have plenty of options when it comes to picking a third player to join Harry Kane and Son Heung-min in the front three, but none of them are currently scoring enough goals – perhaps Perisic is the answer.

  1. I wonder could lamela be factored in somewhere. I’m guessing the powers that be are not happy with him so a move back to Italy. Only a guess as we have no room in our pl squad for anyone especially foreign classed players.

  2. In my opinion would be an excellent signing, and on loan would be perfect.
Can’t understand why Inter would be prepared to release him as has been outstanding whenever I have seen him play.I can only suppose Bayern didn’t need him otherwise they would have kept him.
Playing up front with Kane and Son, probably alternating with Bergwijn who I am sure will come good with an extended run.
Sell Lamela and send Bale back to Madrid(he could just as well stick to golf and retire from football) this January.

  3. I think bringing back Erickson would be a better move and keep Dele as these two generally had a very good understanding when playing together in the past.Erickson could help rejuvinate Dele’s career, I firmly believe this.

  4. No Thank to have Erikson and Dele again they are out of date players
Get 2 new attacking midfieldersalso central Defender to replace Davinson
