Jose Mourinho has confirmed his starting XI for Tottenham’s Premier League clash with Fulham.
The Spurs boss has made 10 changes from Sunday’s FA Cup victory over Marine – with Moussa Sissoko the survivor from the third-round tie.
Hugo Lloris returns in goal, whilst Serge Aurier, Eric Dier, Pierre Emile-Hojbjerg, Harry Winks and Harry Kane are all recalled following their well-deserved rest on Sunday.
Tanguy Ndombele and Heung Min Son were unused substitutes in Crosby and are also both back in the starting XI as is Sergio Regulion, who came off the bench against the eighth-tier outfit.
Sissoko starts in what appears a more advanced role, whilst Davinson Sanchez is preferred to Toby Alderwerield.
Dele Alli and Carlos Vinicius’ performances against Marine weren’t enough to force their way into Mourinho’s starting XI – with the attacking pair both on the bench.

Sanchez AND Winks !!! Oh god.
I just don’t get it the players who play look shot and as for Jose I don’t get you. This was the game to play Toby in tonight not sanshez although dier was his usual rubbish self. He is terrible at defending headers beaten again for their equaliser. Jose has not a clue and son is just as bad up front as dier is at the back.
Jose has his methods and I don’t see them changing. By not utilising our quality on the ball to its best effect it’s a great leveller for inferior opponents.
They don’t commit the fouls, they get confidence and time on the ball themselves to get up a head of steam.
There was nothing from that performance, especially in the 2nd half where you feel a player like Dele or Bale wouldn’t have injected something different.
Had the Spurs crowd been in that stadium this season it would be an awkward atmosphere for Jose when they play like that. I know because I’ve been to a few games there under Jose and nobody seemed very impressed I was sat near.
If we don’t get top four, even if we squeeze a win over City to win the League Cup, I can see Levy looking around for a new coach because he won’t bring in 4 new Jose type players and sell on current players cheaply.
Levy loves the Continental model of player transfers done by committee where the management get a ‘say’ and little more. To utilise this group of players you need a coach with a different tactical approach.
We rarely have two attacking midfielders and more than two forwards on the pitch because of his system. So there’s always about 5 attack minded players on the bench.
Moura, Dele, LoCelso, Vinicius, Bale and Lamela are bit part players even at home to inferior opponents. Yet another manager may well be using them so is Levy going to sanction a fire-sale if Jose isn’t exactly pulling up trees?
If Levy eventually needs to bring in another manager it’s most likely they won’t set up like Jose, not many do these days. They will probably want those players at their disposal.
Also I personally, I don’t see a very happy squad there. I feel his man management of players like Dele, Winks and Bale has been questionable and like I say l, expecting Levy to get shot of all these players rather than the manager is fanciful at best. I don’t see Jose getting any ‘special’ treatment on 15m a season either.
I can’t see him lasting unless he turns things around to finish this season strongly, and no I don’t think the League Cup will be enough without top 4. If we win the Ropey and got in the Champions League that way he’ll probably get longer…
To top it all off, the football is currently boring without the winning bit. The worst kind of not winning…
