Tottenham winger Jack Clarke has joined Championship side Stoke City on loan until the end of the season, it has been confirmed.
Clarke arrived at Spurs from Leeds United 18 months ago and immediately returned to Elland Road on loan, but a lack of game time saw him recalled and sent on another loan to QPR.
That spell was also wasted as Clarke struggled to get off the bench at Loftus Park. The 20-year-old remained at Tottenham last summer and has earned some minutes in cup competitions and Europe.
But it seems Spurs have now decided the best thing for his development is another loan, and Clarke will spend the remainder of the campaign at promotion hopefuls Stoke.
It looks like a good move on the face of it. Stoke are currently eighth in the Championship, just two points off a play-off spot, so Clarke will be playing for a relatively in-form side.
After the deal was confirmed, some Tottenham fans took to Twitter to have their say. See some of the best reactions below.
Good luck come back like a beast

Good luck to him.
I actually thought with our struggles to transition from deep defending to quick counter attacks and score freely like at the start of the season, he might get chances at Spurs second half of the season— It all seems a bit trivial now ? (@MattyFrench82) January 14, 2021
Our best RW gone ? Good luck Jack!

Hope he gets game time unlike his loan to his original club Leeds where they had him preparing the oranges.
