Tottenham travel to Sheffield United this weekend aiming to bounce back from Wednesday’s disappointing draw with Fulham, and Jose Mourinho has a number of decisions to make regarding his team selection.
We think the Spurs boss will make three changes, two of which will occur in the back four. Serge Aurier will be replaced by Matt Doherty, and Davinson Sanchez will drop to the bench so that Toby Alderweireld can come in.
Aurier didn’t do anything wrong against Sheffield United but Mourinho is now regularly rotating at right-back. Reguilon will probably stay in the team over Ben Davies because of his impressive assist in midweek.
In midfield, Moussa Sissoko will drop deeper to partner Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, allowing Steven Bergwijn – taking the place of Harry Winks – to return to the front three after missing the last two games through illness.
Mourinho will have plenty of options to change things from the bench, including Winks, Gareth Bale, Erik Lamela, Lucas Moura, Carlos Vinicius and possibly Dele Alli. However, Giovani Lo Celso is still injured.
Here’s our predicted XI to face Sheffield United – what’s yours? Let us know in the comments section below.
We really must find and buy a solid midfielder who can shoot and contribute in scoring goal.
This is a weakness in our side
