Jose Mourinho has held his Premier League press conference ahead of Tottenham’s trip to Sheffield United this weekend.
The Spurs boss was asked about Gareth Bale’s future. He said there have been no discussions about the Welshman extending his stay beyond this season and said Bale is still taking things “step by step” after two difficult years at Real Madrid.
Mourinho also confirmed Giovani Lo Celso is the only absentee for Sunday, with Steven Bergwijn returning from the illness that saw him miss the last two games.
