Tottenham have turned down three approaches from Paris Saint-Germain to sign Dele Alli but the French giants are still keen on the attacker, according to the Athletic.

Alli has barely featured for Spurs this season after falling out of favour with Jose Mourinho, leading to the 24-year-old being linked with a loan move to PSG, where he would re-unite with former Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino.

And according to the Athletic’s David Ornstein – who is always reliable when it comes to transfers – PSG have already made three moves for Alli, all of which have been rejected as Tottenham seemingly feel they require his services for the rest of the campaign.

However, Ornstein’s report claims Mourinho would not stand in the way of Alli leaving, which suggests there is a chance he will join up with Pochettino in the next few days.

It will be interesting to see if Spurs move for a replacement before letting Alli depart, though that is only likely to happen if they can find somebody willing to spend the majority of their time on the bench.

  1. Let him go for the right price. Dele has done nothing for the club even before Poch was sacked. Get £50m and buy Sabitzer, for £35m.
