Trabzonspor are set to complete the signing of Tottenham outcast Danny Rose on a three-and-a-half year contract, according to reports in Turkey.

Rose was ostracised by Spurs manager Jose Mourinho at the end of last season and hasn’t made a single first-team appearance in the current campaign.

His Tottenham contract is set to expire this summer, but it looks like the Londoners have managed to get him off the books prematurely.

Turkish outlet Ajansspor claims Super Lig club Trabzonspor have agreed a deal to sign Rose, who has apparently put pet to paper on a contract that runs until the summer of 2024.

There is no indication as to whether Spurs will receive a transfer fee. If they do, it’s likely to be very low given the fact Rose had been running down his contract, coupled with his lack of recent game time.

Whether the report is true or not, it seems Rose has played his final game for Tottenham. It’s a shame his Spurs career ended the way it did, but hopefully he will rediscover some of his old love for the game wherever he ends up.
