Danny Rose had the chance to join West Brom or one of two Turkish clubs this month but it looks like he will remain at Tottenham beyond the transfer deadline, according to the Athletic.

Last week we relayed a story from Turkish outlet Ajansspor that claimed Rose had signed a three-and-a-half year contract with Trabzonspor, but it looks like those reports were premature.

The Athletic believes Rose did have offers from two Super Lig clubs but he turned them down. They also suggest West Brom was a potential destination for the 30-year-old, but discussions went no further than the initial stage.

With only a matter of hours to go until the transfer window closes, it looks like Rose will remain a Spurs player until his contract expires at the end of the season.

Despite the fact it looks like he is staying put, it seems there is next to no chance Rose will revive his Tottenham career in the coming months – and so he will have played no first-team football whatsoever for an entire year once the summer rolls around.
